Two individuals of same sex who are in love because they wish to love each other will be kept behind the bars in a country where rapists and people committing sexual assaults and running freely. Just because one falls in love with another of the same sex, cannot be considered as a criminal. Who would the law call a criminal here? The court cannot decide on an individual’s personal life, it cannot decide with whom the person can/cannot spend its entire life with. It’s the individual’s life and he has all the rights to do things he wants to. No court of law can change their natural being. It is what they are like. All those born with a different sexual orientation would be placed at the mercy of police which goes against the human rights. So by this law, the police has the power to intrude on people’s privacy, usurp their choices in life and love and furthermore imprison them for life for the simple act of wanting to make love to a person they had loved. Where does equality appear here? If equality is to be maintained no one can stop anybody from their decisions. The LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) community are equal citizens of this country and thus entitled to all the constitutional protections of equality, liberty, privacy, dignity and health. Yes, gay couples cannot have their own babies, but they can always adopt orphans. A lot of orphans can be blessed with loving parents, good education facilities and better home for living. You cannot love a person you love because he or she comes from a different caste, different religion, the same village, the same gender? One batters his daughter to death because she loves a boy from the same village, other blackmails two men to send them to jail because they love each other. Another hangs his son to death because he falls in love with a girl from another caste. They believe they are doing good, this is evil. What makes life is love, to love and to be loved. To not be able to love the one you love is to have your life rip away. To do this to someone is to murder their soul, is to be cruel to people.The government needs to review it.
